The first edition of “Food India by SIAL “will have over 150 exhibitors from India and from countries such as Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom, Russia, China, Indonesia, in addition to the national pavilions of Italy, Turkey and Korea.
Why India? That of the Asian state is among the fastest growing economies in the world (estimated at 7.6% per year), and India is the next Eldorado for the agri-food sector as the country will become the first world market ahead to China.
There are 1.3 billion consumers, with a growing demand for food, as a result, food imports will grow significantly. Furthermore, India is in 2nd place in terms of total food production globally.
